Christmas Pancakes

On 12:01 PM
We received an early Christmas gifts from some dear family friends...and the kids were so excited to use them! So, for dinner last night, we had pancakes, bacon and sausage. YUM! (I will admit right now, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! Now that you know that, you will understand I did not complain when they kept asking for pancakes for dinner!)
Santa brought a set of these last year, so we already had some, but the new ones are different. The new ones have an elf. And it is adorable. I had to  make several elves last night. He was the favorite of all!

These are last years, which were a hit with the kids.
These are this years, they stole the show!

Here is the elf, filled with batter. I think it is too cute!

This year's snowman. He has a scarf, where last year's did not. I love it!
These are made by Williams-Sonoma and can be found here.
After I went to the Williams-Sonoma website, I found out that when I put the molds down onto the griddle, I put it upside down. The bar should face up,  not down. Now I know.
Also a word of warning (because last year I learned the hard way!). You have to let the molds preheat with the griddle. If batter is poured into them while they are not preheated, they stick REALLY bad. (Nothing soaking in soapy water didn't fix, but it put one mold out of commission for that meal.)
Anyway, we now have a new set of molds to play with. Thanks, Denise. You are so sweet to us! I see many more pancakes before Christmas. Well, to be honest, the Christmas molds last year didn't get put away until May or so. That's how much my kids love them.
